A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON DELETING THE RAISED MEDIAN ELEMENT
FROM THE GENERAL PLAN.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY FINDS,
RESOLVES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. On November 22, 1988, the Planning
Commission, following a duly noticed public hearing at 7:00 p.m.
in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 701 East Carson Street,
Carson, California, at which time evidence, both written and
oral, was duly presented to and considered by said Commission,
recommended to the City Council that the Raised Median Element be
deleted from the General Plan. The findings of the Planning
Commission are set forth in Planning Commission Resolution
No. RS -ii M .
Section 2. On December 13, 1988, the City Council/
Redevelopment Agency held a duly noticed joint public hearing at
7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 701 E. Carson
Street, Carson, California, to consider the actions recommended.
by the Planning Commission. Evidence, both written and oral, was
duly presented to and considered by the City Council.
Section 3. A Negative Declaration was prepared for the
proposal to delete the Raised Median Element from the General
Plan. The Planning Commission recommended the adoption of the
Negative Declaration at it's November 22, 1988 meeting. The City
Council has reviewed and considered the Negative Declaration
prepared for the proposed General Plan Amendment. The City
Council finds that the proposed Amendment will not have a
significant effect on the environment, as indicated in the
Negative Declaration, and hereby adopts the Negative Declaration.
Section 4. The City Council has reviewed and
considered the findings, as outlined in Administrative Report
No. 88-5, entitled "Report on Raised Landscaped Medians", dated
August 12, 1988, and hereby incorporates and adopts said
findings.
Section 5. Based on the foregoing, the City Council
hereby amends the General Plan by deleting the Raised Median
Element from the General Plan.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is
five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 88-127 was duly and
regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said
Council, duly and regularly held on the 13th day of December 1988, and that the same
was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
