A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, NOTIFYING THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS OF CITY COUNCIL'S INTENTION TO RETAIN
LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF SERVICES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES HEREBY FIND, RESOLVE
AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Carson contracts with
the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department to serve as it general law enforcement
agency.
Section 2. The contract for such service is renewable in five year
increments.
Section 3. The contract requires the City to notify the County prior
to December 31, 1988, if the City desires to renew it for an additional five-year
term.
Section 4. The City Council of the City of Carson hereby indicates
its intention to renew its contract with the County of Los Angeles to provide law
enforcement services to the City through the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department
on the current terms and conditions or on such other terms and conditions as are
agreed to by the parties.
Section 5. The City is hereby instructed to send a certified copy of
this resolution to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles prior to
December 31, 1988.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 20TH DAY OF DECEMBER,
1988.

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is
five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 88-133 was duly and
regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said
Council, duly and regularly held on the 20th day of December 1988, and that the same
was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
