RESOLUTION NO. 89-065
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON AMENDING THE HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE
GENERAL PLAN AND ADOPTING A NEGATIVE
DECLARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS
The City Council of the City of Carson hereby Finds,
Resolves and Orders as follows:
Section 1. On May 30, 1989, the Planning Commission
following a duly noticed public hearing at which evidence, both
written and oral, was duly presented to and considered by said
Commission, recommended to the City Council that the Housing
Element of the Carson General Plan be amended as set forth in
Planning Commission Resolution No. 89-1238.
Section 2. On June 20, 1989, the City Council held a
duly noticed public hearing to consider whether to amend the
Housing Element of the General Plan as recommended by the
Planning Commission. Evidence, both written and oral, was duly
presented to and considered by the Council at said hearing.
Section 3. An Environmental Negative Declaration has
been prepared in connection with the proposed amendment of the
Housing Element of the General Plan. The City Council certifies
that said Negative Declaration was completed pursuant to the
provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act and the
Guidelines thereto and that the Council has reviewed and
considered the contents of said Negative Declaration prior to
making its decision regarding amendments to the Housing Element
of the General Plan. The City Council hereby adopts said
Negative Declaration.
Section 4. The City Council has considered the
recommendations of the Planning Commission and staff and hereby
amends the text of the Housing Element of the General Plan to
read as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and amended as
reflected by the City Council's action at its public hearing.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall endorse the Housing
Element of the General Plan to show approval by the Planning
Commission and the adoption of the City Council of the foregoing
amendments.

that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five; that the foregoing
resolution, being Resolution No. 89-065 was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council
of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 20th day of
June, 1989, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
