HomeMy Public PortalAbout89-072RESOLUTION NO. 89-072 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY FINDS, RESOLVES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. On June 13, 1989, the Planning Commission, following a duly noticed public hearing at which evidence, both written and oral, was duly presented to and, considered by said Commission, recommended to the City Council that the Land Use Element of the General Plan be amended to change the designation of certain real properties described in Exhibits "B-1 through B-10" attached hereto, in the following manner: Change the land use designation of the properties from "Medium Density Residential" to "Low Density Residential" SECTION 2. On July 5, 1989, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing to consider whether to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan as recommended by the Planning Commission. Evidence, both written and oral, was duly presented to and considered by the Council at said hearing. SECTION 3._ A Negative Declaration has been prepared for the properties described in Exhibits 1113-1 through B-10". The City Council has reviewed and considered the Negative Declaration prepared for the proposed General Plan Amendment and the associated Zone Change Amendment prior to making its decision whether to amend the General Plan. The Council finds that the proposed amendment will not have a significant effect on the environment as indicated in the Negative Declaration. SECTION 4. The City Council concurs with the Planning Commission's recommendation and hereby orders that the Land Use Element of the General Plan be amended as recommended by the Planning Commission. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall endorse the Land Use Element of the General Plan to show the approval by the Planning Commission and the adoption by the City Council of the foregoing amendment.
