HomeMy Public PortalAboutJFOCP 2007-03-29 MEMORANDUM To: Bruce Hutchins, Grand County No. 1 Water Sanitation District Kirk Klancke, Winter Park West Water Sanitation District From: Alison Naschak and Joe Fuqua, Fraser Sanitation District Date: February 7, 2007 Attached is Joe's Superintendent Report for plant operations for the month of January. The Town of Fraser has begun the process of dissolution of the Fraser Sanitation District, and we are now required to follow through with this process. Jim Bailey attended our Board meeting on February 6 and is going to work with us on the matter. Since we only just received the application from the Town a few days before our meeting, we did not have an opportunity to meet with Jim beforehand. Jim will be reviewing various District documents and will attend our March 6 meeting to discuss a plan for dissolution and other matters related to the process. It will probably make sense to have Jim attend the April JFOC meeting to help answer questions and concerns. The Fraser Sanitation District Board approved a proposal from McLaughlin Rincon to develop a plan to study alternatives and develop an optimum plan for the use of the sequencing batch reactor (SBR). The cost is not to exceed $5,000. An update and any other information that has been provided on the matter will be forwarded to the Committee for the April meeting. Things have been quiet and the plant has been running well. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call Joe or me anytime. Thank you, C1)15N— SUPERINTENDENTS UPDATE Plant Operations Update as of 1 February 2007 1_ Temperature Standards: have been approved and are 17C summer and 9C winter. The last lagoon has not been disturbed and might be helpful to meet. requirements. The plant has installed temperature recorders to monitor influent and effluent and would like to install data loggers in river both up stream of plant and down stream of the mixing zone. This permit standard is going to be a problem, it will be worse if the river is on 303d list. 2. Generator Set is due for a service. A block heater is broken and will be replaced. Oil sample are going to be taken and sent to lab for testing. 3. The plant is working very well except for P11 problems that have just started in January, we have been adding soda ash trying to raise P11 up to 6.5 and are not having much luck. 4. The bulbs for bank #2 are getting very close to the maximum hours and will need replacement. Three more computer boards have been ordered. They are being replaced pro -rata under warranty n fl
