HomeMy Public PortalAbout91-045 RESOLUTION NO. 91-045 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO ACCEPT ON BEHALF OF SAID DISTRICT A TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE OF STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS KNOWN AS PRIVATE DRAIN NO. 1903 IN THE CITY OF CARSON FOR FUTURE OPERATION, MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND IMPROVEMENT, AND AUTHORIZE THE TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE THEREOF. WHEREAS, there have been dedicated to, or the City has otherwise acquired, the storm drain improvements and drainage system known as Private Drain No. 1903, described in Exhibit A attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the City is authorized and empowered to transfer and convey to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District any storm drain improvements and drainage systems for future operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement; and WHEREAS, the City and the Los Angeles County Flood Control District entered into an agreement dated duly 22, 1980, and recorded September 30, 1980, as Document Number 80-957600, of the Official Records in the office of the County Recorder for the County of Los Angeles, whereby the City made certain warranties about its future transfers and conveyances of Flood Control facilities to the District; and WHEREAS, the best public interest will be served by transfer and conveyance of the storm drain improvements and drainage system described in Exhibit A attached hereto from the City to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District for future operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City does hereby request the Los Angeles County Flood Control District to accept the transfer and conveyance of the storm drain improvements and drainage system described in said Exhibit A. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, subject to the acceptance thereof of the Board of Supervisors of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, the City Engineer is directed and ordered to prepare all necessary instruments and documents, including deed, to effectuate said transfer and conveyance, and that the Mayor is authorized and instructed to execute said deed and other instruments and documents. District shall have no obligation or responsibility to maintain said storm drain, improvements, and drainage until all rights of way for said drain now vested in the City and all other necessary rights of way therefore have been conveyed to and accepted by District. Reference is hereby made to District Drawings Nos. 364-1232-F10.1-.10. , the plans and profile of said storm drain improvements and drainage system on file in the office of the City Engineer and on file in the office of the Chief Engineer of said District for further data as to the exact location, extent, and description of said storm drain improvements and drainage system. Resolution No. 91-045/Page 2 of 4 BE IT FARTHER RESOLVED that the transfer and conveyance hereby requested are subject to each of the warranties described in the Agreement between the City and the District dated July 22, 1980, and recorded September 30, 1980, as Document Number 80-957600, of the Official Records in the office of the County Recorder for the County of Los Angeles. The storm drain system lies within Main Street and Lenardo Drive. Lines "A-1" and "A-611: Two 18 inch R.C.P. connector pipe and appurtenant structure systems, from Line "A" to catch basins. Lines "A-211 , "A-3", "A-4" and "A-5": Four 24 inch R.C.P. connector pipe and appurtenant structure systems, from Line "A" to catch basins. Line. "B": An 84 and 60 i rh R.C.P. storm drain and appurtenant structure system, commencing from an existing storm drain per Los Angeles County Flood Control District Project No. 1232, Station 0 + 36.65, to a manhole structure, Station 15+ 80.76, a distance of 1,544 feet, more or less. The storm drain system lies within Lenardo Drive, Stamps Drive, Del Amo Boulevard and Lots 1 and 7 of said tract. Lines "B-2", ' "B-3", "B-5119 "B-6119 "B-13" and "B-1411: Six 18 inch R.C.P. connector pipe and appurtenant structure systems, from Line "B" to catch basins. Line "B-411: A 24 inch R.C.P. connector pipe and appurtenant structure system, from Line "B" to a catch basin. Line "B-111: A 54, 42 and .36 inch R.C.P. storm drain and appurtenant structure system, commencing from a manhole structure per Line "B", Station 0 + 00, to another manhole structure with a three foot stub, Station 12 + 60.17, a distance of 1 ,260 feet, more or less. The storm drain system lies within Stamps Drive and Lenardo Drive. Line "B-711: A 27 inch R.C.P. connector pipe and appurtenant structure system, from Line "B-1" to a catch basin. Line "B-811: A 30 inch R.C.P. connector pipe and appurtenant structure system, from Line "B-1" to a catch basin. Lines 9-911 , "B-10", "B-11" and "B-1211: Four 24 inch R.C.P. connector pipe and appurtenant structure systems, from Line "B-1" to catch basins. Line "C-211: An 18 inch R.C.P. connector pipe and appurtenant structure system, from Line "C" to a catch basin. Line "C-311: An 18 inch R.C.P. connector pipe and appurtenant structure s.. ,tem, from Line "C-2" catch basin to another catch basin. The storm drain system lies within Lot 8 of said tract and Stamps Drive. Lines "D-111 , 110-2° and "D-311: Three 24 inch R.C.P. connector pipe and appurtenant structure systems, from Line "D" to catch basins. _ Line "D-411: A 27 inch R.C.P. connector pipe and appurtenant structure system, from Line 00" to a catch basin.
