A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON ORDERING VACATION OF A PORTION OF KINARD
AVENUE NORTH OF 224TH PLACE, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, FIND,
DETERNINE AND ORDER THAT:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Carson on April 16,
1991, adopted Resolution No. 91-044, entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION
OF KINARD AVENUE NORTH OF 224TH PLACE," and setting a time and place for
a public hearing thereon.
Section 2. Notices of the proposed street vacation were duly
published and posted in the manner and form and at the time required by
Streets and Highways Code Section 8323.
Section 3. The City Council of the City of Carson held a public
hearing thereon on May 7, 1991, at 6:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers
located at 701 E. Carson Street, City of Carson. State of California,
at which time said Council heard all evidence offered by persons interested
in said vacation and no persons were present to protest same.
Section 4. The City Council hereby determines that the public
convenience and necessity require the preservation of utility easements
and hereby reserves the entire portion of Kinard Avenue north of 224th
Place as a utility easement.
Section 5. The City Council has considered the General Plan
of the City of Carson and finds the proposed vacation to be in conformity
with said plans.
Section 6. Pursuant to Section 2381 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California the City Council finds and determines
the right-of-way proposed for abandonment is not useful as a nonmotorized
transportation facility.
Section 7. The City Council of the City of Carson hereby finds
that the portion of Kinard Avenue north of 224th Place as described herein
is unnecessary for present or prospective public use.
Section 8. The City Council of the City of Carson hereby orders
that the portion of Kinard Avenue north of 224th Place, as shown on the
map (on file in the Public Works Department), and described as:
That portion of Kinard Avenue (42.00 feet wide) in Tract No. 20131 in
the City of Carson, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per
map recorded in book 554 pages 39 through 42, inclusive, of maps in the
office of the County Recorder of said County described as follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 58 in said Tract No. 20131; thence
south 000 10' 15" east along the westerly line of said lot a distance
of 80.37 feet to the beginning of a 15.00 foot tangent curve, concave
to the northeast, said curve being the southwesterly curved line of said
Lot 58; thence southeasterly along said curve, through a central angle
of 70° 11' 25" an arc distance of 18.38 feet; thence non-tangent to said
curve, north 82" 11' 12" west a distance of 7.96 feet to the beginning
of a 66.00 foot tangent curve, concave to the east; thence westerly and
southwesterly along said curve, through a central angle of 390 52' 15"
an arc distance of 45.93 feet to the westerly line of said Kinard Avenue
(42.00 feet wide); thence non-tangent to said curve, north 00° 10' 15"
west along said westerly line a distance of 102.95 feet to the intersection
of said westerly line and the westerly prolongation of the northerly line
of said Lot 58; thence south 89° 49' 00" east along said westerly
prolongation a distance of 42.00 feet to the point of beginning shall
be and is vacated.

Section 9. The City Clerk is directed to cause a certified copy
of this Resolution and Order to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder
of the County of Los Angeles.

the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five; that the foregoing resolution,
being Resolution No. 91-047 was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at
a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 7th day of May, 1991, and that
the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
