A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CARSON ADOPTING
THE AIR QUALITY ELEMENT
IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY FINDS,
RESOLVES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Public hearings were duly held on April 6, 1993 and April 20, 1993 at
6:00 P.M. at City Hall, Council Chambers, 701 East Carson Street, Carson, California. A
notice of time, place and purpose of the aforesaid meetings was duly given.
Section 2. Evidence, both written and oral, was duly presented to and considered
by the City Council at the aforesaid meetings.
Section 3. The City Council finds that:
a) The Air Quality Element Implementation Schedule will assure implementation
of the Air Quality Element Goals and Policies in a timely and orderly manner.
b) The City Council will review the implementation programs and dates on an
annual basis to determine progress on attaining local standards.
c) The City Council will adjust the implementation programs and schedule dates on
an annual basis to respond to changing Federal and State requirements and to the needs of the
City.
d) The implementation of the Goals and Policies of the Air Quality Element will
support the air quality standard attainment goals of the regional Air Quality Management Plan
by reducing locally-generated emissions.
e) The project involves no potential for any adverse effect, either individually or
cumulatively, on wildlife resources and therefore a De Minims Impact Finding is made relative
to AB 3158, Chapter 1706, Statutes of 1990.
Section 4. The City Council further finds that the Air Quality Element
Implementation Schedule will not have a significant effect on the environment as indicated in
the Initial Study and Negative Declaration prepared for this project.
Section 5. Based on the aforementioned findings, the City Council hereby adopts
the Air Quality Element Implementation Schedule.

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do hereby certify
that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is four; that the foregoing
resolution, being Resolution No. 93-034 was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council
of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 20th day
of April, 1993, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
