A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON
AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT
OF THE GENERAL PLAN NO. 53-94
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY FINDS,
RESOLVES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. On March 22, 1994, the Planning Commission conducted a duly noticed
public hearing, at which time, evidence both written and oral, were presented to and
considered by said Commission, recommending to the City Council that the Land Use Element
of the General Plan be amended to change the designation of those certain real properties
described in Exhibit "A" and as shown in Exhibit "B" attached hereto, as follows:
1. Change the Land Use Designation of the property from General Commercial to
High Density Residential.
Section 2. On April 5, 1994, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing to
consider whether to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan as recommended by the
Planning Commission. Evidence, both written and oral, was duly presented to and considered
by the Council at said hearing.
Section 3. A Negative Declaration has been prepared for the property described in
Exhibit "A". The, City Council has reviewed and considered the Negative Declaration
prepared for the proposed General Plan Amendment and the associated Zone Change
Amendment prior to making its decision whether to amend the Plan. The Council finds that
the proposed amendment will not have a significant effect on the environment and hereby
approves the Negative Declaration.
Section 4. The City Council concurs with the Planning Commission
recommendation and hereby orders that the Land Use Element of the General Plan be amended
as recommended by the Planning Commission.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall endorse the Land Use Element of the General Plan
to show the approval by the Planning Commission and the adoption by the City Council of the
foregoing amendment.
Section 6. The City Council finds the project involves no potential for any adverse
effect, whether individually or cumulatively, on wildlife resources and therefore a De Minimis
Impact Finding is made relative to AB 3158, Chapter 1706, Statutes of 1990.
