A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR PROFESSIONAL AUDIT
SERVICES BEGINNING WITH FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2016 FOR
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, AND THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY FOR THE
LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS, the term of the audit engagement with Vasquez & Company
LLP ended with the audit of FY 2014 -2015; and
WHEREAS, the current contract is set to expire on June 18, 2016; and
WHEREAS, . it is a common practice by cities to bid for audit services
periodically; and
WHEREAS, requesting for proposers to bid for professional audit services
allows the City an option to select from various proposers and select the best firm
that meets the City's needs based on qualification and cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes staff to solicit bids for
professional audit services, including the preparation of the Comprehensive
Annual Financial Report (CAFR), Schedule of Federal Financial Assistance,
Management Report and the State Controller's Report.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City
Council Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of January, 2016.
