COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, JUNE 17, 2013
CALL TO ORDER
The June 17, 2013, City Council “Pre-Meeting” Meeting was convened at 5:45 P.M. by
President Pro Tempore Bob Scrivner in the absence of Mayor Eric Struemph.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Branch, Bray, Carroll, Henry, Hussey, Mihalevich, Prather, Schulte,
and Scrivner
Absent: Graham
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Presentations – Councilwoman Carrie Carroll has asked to add a presentation from an
invited guest to hear Kathy Crow speak on the issue of Resolution RS2013-17,
permissive use of City parking lot #3. She stated she would also ask the Council’s
consideration in moving that resolution up on the agenda so Ms. Crow would not have to
stay for the whole meeting in case the Council had questions. Councilman Bray stated
he would second Councilwoman Carroll’s motion to move the item up on the agenda.
Bill 2013-31 (Sidewalk Café Permits) – Councilwoman Carroll stated she will be
withdrawing this bill at tonight’s meeting.
Bill 2013-28 (Grant Procedure) – City Counselor Hilpert explained the changes in the
substitute bill which was distributed to the Council after last Thursday’s Brown Bagel
meeting.
New Business – Councilman Mihalevich stated he would like to hear an update from
the Conference Center Facilitator.
