SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING, SEPTEMBER 5, 2013
CALL TO ORDER
The Special Council Meeting of September 5, 2013, was convened at 5:32 P.M. by
Mayor Eric Struemph.
ROLL CALL
The following Council Members were present for the roll call:
Present: Bray, Carroll, Graham, Henry, Hussey, Mihalevich, Prather,
Schulte, and Scrivner
Absent: *Branch (arrived at 6:04 P.M.)
A quorum was declared present.
PRESENTATION OF MARKET STUDY BY CHARLES JOHNSON
Mayor Struemph introduced Mr. Charles Johnson, the Conference Center Selection
Process Facilitator, and turned the floor over to him to make his presentation.
Following the presentation by Mr. Johnson, he answered several questions asked by
the Mayor, Council, and staff.
*Councilman Jim Branch arrived during this presentation (6:04 P.M.)
Mr. Johnson concluded by saying the Market Study should be finalized sometime during
the middle of next week so the two develope rs could have their best and final offers to
the Council by the end of September.
GO INTO CLOSED SESSION
Mayor Eric Struemph stated that, Pursuant to Sec. 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of
Missouri, the Chair will entertain a motion to go into Closed Session to discuss the
following issue:
a. Sealed Bids, Contracts, and Related Documents [Sec. 610.021.(12)]

A motion was made by Councilman Shawn Schulte to go into Closed Session for the
above-stated issue, seconded by Councilman Rick Mihalevich, and approved
unanimously by the following roll-call vote at 6:57 P.M.
Aye: Branch, Bray, Carroll, Graham, Henry, Hussey, Mihalevich, Prather,
Schulte, and Scrivner
Nay: None
