HomeMy Public PortalAbout2016.011 (01-19-16)RESOLUTION NO. 2016.011 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ACCEPTING AN OFFER OF DEDICATION FOR STREET PURPOSES AT 3546 -3570 ORCHARD AVENUE; APN 6177- 004 -001 THROUGH 007 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has determined that said dedication is necessary for the convenience, welfare, and safety of the public; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the best interest of the City shall be served by accepting said dedication; and WHEREAS, said dedication has been analyzed and approved by the City Engineer. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE-AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood accepts the offer of dedication for street purposes from BJS Development Corporation as described below: At the centerline intersection of Bullis Road and Orchard Avenue; thence along the centerline of said Bullis Road south 13 049'53" west 202.36 feet; thence departing said centerline north 67 °08'06" west 25.31 feet to the southeasterly corner of said lot 982, said corner being a point on the northwesterly right -of -way line of said Bullis Road, a 25foot wide half- street; thence continuing along the southeasterly line of said lot 982 and along said northwesterly right -of -way line north 67 008'06" west 15.19 feet to a point on a line, said line being parallel and distant 40.00 feet from the centerline of said Bullis Road, said point also being the true point of beginning; thence departing said southeasterly line and said northwesterly right -of -way line, and along said parallel line north 13 049'53" east 873.95 feet to a point on a line, said line being parallel and distant 25.00 feet from the centerline of said Orchard Avenue; thence along said parallel line north 71'50'58" west 469.38 feet to point on the northwesterly line of the easterly 80.00 feet of said lot 986, said point being distant south 18 009'02" west 5.00 feet from the southwesterly line of said Orchard Avenue, a 20 foot wide half- street, said point also being a point of ending, as per map recorded in book 32, page 90 of maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County. Assessor's Map No. 6177 - 004 -001, 002, 003,004,005,006 and 007 Commonly known as: 3546 -3570 Orchard Avenue Lynwood, CA 90262 Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council Resolution.
