AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
INTERNET CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, The Indiana State Police has grant funding available through the Granting
Agency, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Police Department desires to submit a grant
application to obtain funds that will be used to purchase equipment and/or
training relating to the investigation of internet crimes against children and
to assist RPD's participation with the Indiana Internet Crimes Against
Children Task Force; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a
grant application to the Granting Agency, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
2. The City of Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant
funding in an amount up to Five Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($5,000.00), if
awarded to the City of Richmond Police Department, and shall be appropriated to
purchase equipment and/or training relating to the investigation of internet crimes against
children and to assist RPD's participation with the Indiana Internet Crimes Against
Children Task Force.
Passed and adopted this _16th_ day of _January 2007, by the Common Council of
the City of Richmond, Indiana.
