SECTION NINE - All persons volunteering for service in said
department or engaged in the work of the department shall be
under the sole direction and control of the Chief during the
period of such work or service and no person is to erlage or
do any work of said department without the consent of said
Chief.
SECTION TEN - Any person or persons who shall interfere with of
obstruct the working of said department or any member of said
department when engaged in the work of said department shall
be punished for each offense upon conviction before the Police
Court of said Savannah Beach, Tybee eland, Georgia, by a fine
of 3 100.00'and /or imprisonment of thirty(30) days either or b
both or any portion of either or both in the discretion of
the presiding officer of said Police Court.
SECT ON ELEVEN - All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con;
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
It was moved and seconded and passed that the Chief of the Fire
Department and the Chairman of the Fire Committee proceed to
elect a volunteer fire department.
There being no further business Council a.djour,}°ied subject to

A special meeting of Council was held to -day at i2t00_.:,naon,
and was attended by Mayor Bright,awho presided, and Councilmen
Righton,Blumenthal and Sharpley.
The Finance Committee reported that as it would be necessary
to borrow not over 3 8000.00 to meetba casual deficiency in
revenue now existing, that the Mayor be empowered to negotiate
a loan for this amount to be used as needed.
It was moved and seconded and passed that the following resol-
ution be adopted;
RESOLUTION.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of theTown
of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island., in meeting assembled, THAT
O.E.Bright, Mayor, be, and he is hereby, authorized
to negotiate a loan from suck bank, or banks,4.s he may prefer,
and upon such reasonable terms as he may decide, which loan
maybbe in a lump sum or in various amounts from time to time,
the aggregate, however, not to exceed the sum of Eight Thousand
('$8,000.00) Dollars.
Any note,or notes,, execated as evidence of such loan
shall be signed by the Mayor and a tested by the Clerk of Council
with the corporate seal of the municipality attaded, and such
note, of notes, shall be repaid in full on, or before, June 1,
1935, out of t e proceeds of the first current revenues rececived
by the municipality beginni:.g May 1, 1935.
There being no further business Council adjourned subject to
the call of the Mayor.

The regular meeting of Council Was.heldt6 day at 4:00 p /m. &.nd
was attended by Mbyor Bright, who presided, and Councilmen bharpley,
Logan, Blumenthal,Lovelland Cann. and Mr. J.H.Mulherin.
Mr. Mulherin petitioned that the lowland ®n hi°e4rOperty infropt
of his cottageptloee.tedlbetween Butler Avenue and the Strand and
South of Eightn StT et, be filled in, as in its present condition
it holds water and hot only unsightly but unsanitary. Mr.Mulherin
was excuded. The matter was referred to the Public Works Committee.
The Mayor requested that the authority given him to borrow 8000.00
at the special meeting held December 3rd. 1934, be ratified, and
on motion made and seconded that the authority granted the Mayor
at the meeting held December 3, 1934, authorizing him to borrow
up tp 3 8000.00, be ratified, the motion passed.
The contract between the Town and the owner of the property on
which the building housing the fire apparatus is located was
read and on m:jtion made and seconded and passed the Mayor was
authorized execute it.
It was moved=and seconded and passed that the following resolu-
tion be adopted;
RESOLUTION.
RESOLVED by the Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah
Beach, Tybee Island, Georgia, in regular meeting assembled that
the thanks of this body be and they are hereby extended to the
Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Savannah and especi&.11y
William G.Logan for the splendid coorporation and active
assistance to this body in making possible the installation
of the Fire Department.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resol-
ution as it appears upon the minutes of this meeting', be
transmitted to the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Savannah
and to \illiam G.Logan.
