A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CARSON, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO VACATE A PORTION OF ANEW AVENUE
WEST OF FIGUEROA STREET AND SETTING
A TIME AND A PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING THEREON
The City Council of the City of Carson hereby finds, determines and resolves as
follows:
Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Division 9, Part 3 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California (Sec. 8300, et seq.) the City
Council of the City of Carson hereby declares its intention to order the vacation of
portion of Anelo Avenue west of Figueroa Street, approximately 4,155 square
feet.
Section 2. The portion of Anelo Avenue proposed to be vacated is
shown on the map entitled "Proposed Vacated Portion of Anelo Avenue" on file
in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Carson and open to public inspection
and described as follows:
That portion of Anelo Avenue in the City of Carson, County of
Los Angeles, beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of
190th Street and Figueroa Street, as shown on Tract No. 4671 as
recorded in Book 56, pages 30 and 31 of maps, in the office of
County Records of said County; thence S. 0° 04' 10" E. along said
centerline of Figueroa Street a distance of 641.17 feet to a tangent
curve concave to the west and having a radius of 1500.00 feet;
thence Southerly along said curve an arc distance of 983.24 feet;
thence radial to said curve N. 52° 31' 45" W. 50.00 feet to the true
point of beginning; thence S. 37° 29' 15" W. a distance of 346.26
feet to a line bearing N. 34° 33' 09" W. as described in Director's
Deed, Book D3683, page 332 of Official Records in the office of
County Records of said County; thence Southerly along said line a
distance of 12.61 feet to a point in a line which is parallel with and
distant northeasterly 12.00 feet, measured at right angles from said
course hereinbefore described as bearing S. 37° 29' 15" W.; thence
Northeasterly along said parallel line 350.15 feet; thence N. 52°
31' 45" W. 12.00 feet to the true point of beginning.
Section 3. A Public Hearing shall be held on such proposed vacation
on June 3, 1997, at the hour of 6:00 p.m. at the City Council Chambers at Carson
Resolution No. 97-020/Page 2 of 2
City Hall, 701 E. Carson Street, Carson, California, at which time and place any
and all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation may appear
and be heard.

Section 4. The City Council hereby directs that notice of the public
hearing be published pursuant to Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California and be posted conspicuously along the portion of Anelo
Avenue proposed to be vacated pursuant to Section 8323 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Carson on the 13th day Y of May, 1997.
