2005-01 Crandon Boulevard Master Plan Approving Minor Revisions
RESOLUTION NO. 2005-1 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, CONCERNING THE CRANDON BOULEVARD STREETSCAPE MASTER PLAN, APPROVING MINOR REVISIONS TO MASTER PLAN FOR CRANDON BOULEVARD, APPROVING CONTINUED IMPLEMENTATION OF CRANDON BOULEVARD MASTER PLAN; AND PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Crandon Boulevard Master Plan Implementation Committee (the "Board") has recommended certain minor revisions to the Crandon Boulevard Streetscape Master Plan; and WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that the revisions recommended by the Board are in the best interest of the Village and the community and substantially comply with the Master Plan previously approved by Resolution No. 2004-09. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Recitals Adopted. That each of the above stated recitals is hereby adopted and confirmed. Section 2. Master Plan Revised. That the Crandon Boulevard Streetscape Master Plan, as previously approved pursuant to Resolution No. 2004-09, is hereby amended to include the following minor revisions: 1. Parallel parking spaces shall be placed on the West side of Crandon Boulevard from the Village Green to 560 Crandon Boulevard (SunTrust Bank). 2. One (1) loading zone shall be placed in the public right of way in front of 180 Crandon Boulevard. 3. One (1) loading zone shall be placed in the public right of way in front of 260-328 Crandon Boulevard (Square and Galleria Shopping Centers). 4. A landscape buffer, as shown on the plans attached hereto and marked as Exhibit "A", shall be placed in the public right of way between the property line and the sidewalk in front of properties located at 12-38 Crandon Boulevard (entry block). 5. The bus shelters that were proposed at Key Colony and at Sonesta Drive intersection shall be deleted and replaced with one (1) bus shelter and pull off lane at the library at 299 Crandon Boulevard Section 3. Master Plan Implementation to Proceed. That the construction documents, including finishes and materials for improvements, as prepared by the Village's Project Engineer pursuant to Village Resolution 2004-30, are hereby approved as set forth in the plans which are attached hereto and marked as Exhibit "B".
