I would like to give my thoughts on the Phase 2 project at Victory Field. I have been the Boys Varsity
Tennis Coach in Watertown for the past 25 years and I am able to visit the other eleven towns in the
Middlesex League. I am very excited about new tennis courts as a part of the project. The following
towns have new facilities for tennis and Watertown is due for an update. Arlington , Reading ,
Wilmington, Burlington, Woburn, have excellent new tennis courts for high school and public use. The
towns of Lexington , Winchester, Melrose, and Stoneham have courts that are still very good but not
new facilities . I run a tennis camp during the summer for both children and adults and the interest in
tennis is growing here in Watertown. I strongly support moving forward with Phase two of the project
which will be enjoyed by people of Watertown.
