A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON, CALIFORNIA, GIVING THE DIRECTOR OF
FINANCE LIMITED AND TEMPORARY AUTHORITY TO
EXPEND FUNDS OF THE CITY PENDING ADOPTION OF
THE FY 1998/99 ANNUAL OPERATING BUDGET
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to expend funds of the City
for the purpose of paying ongoing City expenses until'a budget is adopted by the City Council,
or July 31, 1998, whichever occurs first.
SECTION 2. The level of such expenditures and authorization is limited to the FY
1997/98 level of appropriations previously approved by the City Council, and those items
which Council has subsequently authorized by separate Council action.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make
a Minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City
Council of said City, in the Minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do hereby certify that the
whole number of members of the City Council is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No.
98-060 was duly and regularly adopted by said Council at an adjourned regular joint meeting duly and
regularly held on the 16th day of June, 1998, and that the same was passed and adopted by the following
vote:
