HomeMy Public PortalAboutVictory Letter - Eileen Donahue - 1 26 2014_201409080835405290To whom this concerns:
As the Watertown High School field hockey coach, my program has benefitted
tremendously from having the turf field. In the past, my team had to travel to several
opposing turf fields to practice and play tournament games. This was a huge inconvenience.
Presently, I appreciate being able to practice and play games on the turf field. When there
was inclement weather, my team was able to practice and play games on the turf. The turf
has assisted our team's overall skill development and team success.
To prepare for the fall season, the fall coaches had to meet several times for many hours
working to get use of the turf field for their teams. There were many times that my team had
to practice till 10 p.m. Obviously, that is a long day for everyone. Personally, I would prefer
to have my team practice at 3 p.m. every day. In addition, there were times when there was
no turf time available, so my team practiced on grass. It would be great if Watertown
secured an additional turf. There would be convenient scheduled times for practice and
games for all the teams.
Again, I truly appreciate the present turf field.
Sincerely,
Eileen F. Donahue
