A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON,
CALIFORNIA TO NOTIFY THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS OF THE CITY'S INTENTION TO RETAIN THE
SERVICES OF THE LOS ANGELES SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY FINDS,
DETERMINES, ORDERS AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Carson contracts with the Los Angeles
County Sheriff's Department to provide law enforcement services to the City, and to
serve as its law enforcement agency.
Section 2. The City-County Municipal Law Enforcement Services Agr �e�emei for
such services shall be effective from 1 July 1999 through 30 June 2004, and shallAe ;
renewable in five-year increments. _.
Section 3. The City-County Municipal Law Enforcement Services Agreement
requires the City to notify the County, if the City desires to renew contractual bservic s
for an additional five-year term.
Section 4. The City Council of the City of Carson hereby indicates its'rntention
to renew its City-County Municipal Law Enforcement Services Agreement with the
County of Los Angeles to provide law enforcement services to the City through the Los
Angeles County Sheriff's Department with terms and conditions as agreed to by both
parties.
