RESOLUTION NO. 00-140
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA CALLING A
CLOSED SESSION TO CONFER WITH LEGAL
COUNSEL REGARDING PENDING LITIGATION
The City Cc uncil of the City of Carson, California hereby finds and resolves:
Sec ion 1. Pursuant to Government Code § 54956.9 and based on advice
from the City Atto ney, the City Council determines that a closed session should be held to
confer with or rec ive advice from the City Attorney regarding a matter of pending litigation,
discussion of whi h in open session would prejudice the position of the City. The pending
litigation is Jacqueline Thomas v. Larry R. Martin; I.R. Martin Construction; City of Carson
(TC013188).
Section 2. A closed session of the City Council of the City,'of Carson,
California shall be held forthwith, in recess from this regular meeting, pursuant to Government
Code § 54956.9, regarding the matters referred to in Section 1 hereof.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 16th day of October, 2000.
