A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON,
CALIFORNIA,FIXING THE EMPLOYER'S CONTRIBUTION UNDER THE PUBLIC
EMPLOYEES' MEDICAL AND HOSPITAL CARE ACT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 22825.6 provides that a local agency contracting
under the Public Employees' Medical and Hospital Care Act shall fix the amount of the
employer's contribution at an amount not less than the amount required under Section 22825 of
the Act; and
WHEREAS,the City of Carson, California, is a local agency contracting under the Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carson does resolve that the
employer's contribution for each employee or annuitant shall be the amount necessary to pay the
full cost of his/her enrollment, including the enrollment of family members, in a health benefits
plan up to a maximum of:
Code Barizaining Unit Contribution per Month
01 Supervisors Association $528.38
02 Assoc. of Mgmt. Employees $528.38
03 AFSCME, 809 Council 36 $495.00
04 Unclassified Employees $528.38
05 Elected Officials $528.38.
06 Confidential Employees $528.38
07 City Council $528.38
08 Professional Association $528.38
Plus administrative fees and Contingency Fund assessments.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20 day of November, 2000.
