AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, RETAIN-
ING THE TAXES I22POSED BY THE LOCAL SALES AND USE TAX ACT
(ARTICLE 1066c, VERNON'S TEXAS CIVIL STATUTES) ON THE SALE
AND DISTRIBUTION OF GAS AND ELECTRICITY FOR RESIDENTIAL USE
IN SAID CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'.iY OF RICHLAND

Section 1. The City of Richland Hills, by majority vote
of its governing body, hereby votes to retain the taxes author-
ized by the Local Sales and Use Tax Act (Article 1066c, Vernon's
Texas Civil Statutes) on the receipts from the sale, production,
distribution, lease, or rental of, and the use, storage, or
other consumption of gas and electricity for residential use,
as authorized by Section 6 of House Bi11 No. 1, Acts 1978,
65th Legislature, Second Called Session.
