5. Due to the windstorm disaster occurred November 30 , 2011 to December 1, 2011,
the City issued a Declaration of a Local Emergency. City's Emergency Operation
Center was activated from December 1 , 2011 to December 6 , 2011 . City staff was
needed to answer phone calls , record trees down incidents, coordinated traffic,
debris removal, site inspection for safety, purchases and provided to residents
emergency supplies due to power outages, etc. A budget amendment in the
amount of $29,900 is requested for the Overtime Account 01-950-64-4150 and
$6,500 for the Special Program Wages Account 01-950-64-4151 (for PC~:rt time
employees) for the Emergency Services Program .
CONCLUSION:
The City Council is requested to approve the second quarter budget amendments and
amend the adopted budget accordingly.
