RESOLUTION NO. 01-035
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON
CALLING A CLOSED SESSION TO CONFER WITH
LEGAL COUNSEL REGARDING ANTICIPATED LITIGATION
The City Council of the City of Carson hereby finds and resolves:
Section 1. Pursuant to Government Code § 54956.9 (b) and based on advice
from the City Attorney, the City Council determines that a closed session should be held to
confer with or receive advice from the City Attorney regarding the potential initiation of litigation,
discussion of which in open session would prejudice the position of the City. A point has been
reached where, in the opinion of the legislative body of the local agency on the advice of its
legal counsel, based on existing facts and circumstances, the City Council is evaluating the
potential of litigation that may be filed against the City by a third party or parties.
Section 2. A closed session of the City Council shall be held forthwith, in
recess from this special meeting, pursuant to Government Code § 54956.9 (b), regarding the
matters referred to in Section 1 hereof.

whole number of members of the City Council is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No.
O1-035 was duly and regularly adopted by said Council at an adjourned regular meeting duly and regularly
held on the 7' day of March, 2001 and that the same was passed and adopted by the following vote:
