~A~EAS, Chief of Police Joseph Sica (the "Chief") has indicated a desire to
retire from the Carteret Police Department; and
~, the Borough and the Chief have agreed to resolve any disputes or
potential disputes involving the Chief and/or his retirement benefits and
compensation, by way of an agreement and release;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLV[DBYTHEBOROb~HCODNCILOFTHEBOROL~i~OF
CAk£~R~T that Chairman of the Police Appropriate Authority and the Municipal
- Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the Release and Settlement Agreement
attached hereto as Schedule 1.
BE iT FURTHER RESOLV/D THAT this resolution shall take effect immediately.
