RESOLUTION NO. 01-083
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA CALLING A
CLOSED SESSION TO CONFER WITH LEGAL
COUNSEL REGARDING A MATTER OF PENDING LITIGATION
The City Council of the City of Carson, California hereby finds and resolves:
Section 1. Pursuant to Government Code § 54956.9(a) and based on advice
from the City Attorney, the City Council determines that a closed session should be held to
confer with or receive advice from the City Attorney regarding a matter of pending litigation,
discussion of which in open session would prejudice the position of the City. The pending
litigation is Carson Harbor Village v. City of Carson (U.S. District Court Case No. CV01-04779-
RJK (RZx)).
Section 2. A closed session of the City Council of the City of Carson,
California shall be held forthwith, in recess from this regular meeting, pursuant to Government
Code § 54956.9, regarding the matters referred to in Section 1 hereof.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 19'h day of June, 2001.
