A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON,
CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION
(RESOLUTION NO. 00-016) TO INCREASE THE MONTHLY HEALTH
INSURANCE ALLOWANCE
WHEREAS, the City has been informed that its costs to provide medical insurance for
employees has increased; and
WHEREAS, the City has met and conferred in good faith with the representatives of the
Professional Association regarding the monthly health insurance allowance.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON
HEREBY FINDS, DETERMINES AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1.1 of Article IV of the memorandum of Understanding between the City and
the Professional Association as adopted by Resolution No. 00-016 is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Section 1.1 Health Insurance Premium
Effective January 1, 2002, the City shall pay up to, but not to exceed, the amount of
$553.61 per month for health insurance provided by the City for each full-time employee
and eligible dependents."
Section 2. Except as herein amended, the MOU between the City and the Professional
Association as adopted by Resolution No. 00-016 shall remain in full force and effect.
