SECTION 2 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the authority aforesaid: that
any person, firm ,or dorpoeation violation the provisions of this
ordinance or permitting the same to be violated shall, upon con -
viction before the. Recorder's Court of Savannah Beach, Tybee
Leland, Georgia, be subject to a fine of One Hundred (100.00)
Dollars or Thirty(30) days imprisonment, any one or any portion
of either or both in the discretion of the Judge presiding in
said case.
SECTION 3 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that any or all parts of ord-
inances in conflict herewith shall be and the same are hereby
)/repealed.
The Mayor informed Council that the principal and semi - annual
interest would be due August lst, on the Street Paving Bonds,
amounting to $ 6150.00 and that it may be necessary to borrow
money to meet part of this and other obligations of the Town.
On motiona made and seconded and passed, the Mayor was auth-
orized and empowered to borrow from any banks or banks the
necessary funds needed.
There being no further business Council adjourned subject to
the call of the Mayor.

The regular meeting of Of Council was held to -day at 4:00 p.m.,
add was attended by Chairman of Council Cann, who presided in
the absence of mayor Bright who was out of the city, and Coun-
cilmen Blumenthal,Righton and Logan. Also Mr. L.A.Mills and
mr. marvin O'Neal, jr.
Mr. Mills appearing for the Foremost Dairies, petitioned for
a lower license fee to sell and deliver orange juices in con -
necti.n with their milk business, he,contemding that the fee
now assessed is too high. Mr. Mills was excused. Council after
discussing the matter decided that the license fee of `: 25.00
was reasonable and should not be changed.
mr. O'Neal appg% l.g for Hr. L.S.Chastian pretested against
the ordinance on une llth, prohibiting the sale of intoxi-
cating liquors within 225 feet of Tybrisa Pavilion, contend-
ing that it is ddiscriminating, unfair and unjust. Mr. O'Neal
was excused, and after discussing the matter, it was moved and
seconded and passed that the following ordinance be adopted;

AN ORDINANCE to be entitled " An ordinance to repeal
certain portions of an ordinance adopted by the Mayor and Coun-
cilmen of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, Ga., at a meeting held
upon .tune llth, 1935, and for dither pueposes.

SECTION 1 - BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and. Councilmen of
Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, Ga., in regulat meeting assembled
that, that portion of an ordinace adopted by the Mayor and Coun-
cilmen, at the regular meeting held upon the.11th day of June,
1935, and contained in Section One thereof and embracing the
following language " But not less than within Two Hundred and
Twenty -five (225) feet of any portion of that certain dancing
pavilion, now located upon said Island and known as Tybrida,"
be and the same is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2 - All other portions of said ordianne shall
remain in force and are hereby re- ordained.
SECTION _3 - BE IT ORDAINED that any and all other
ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in con flict herewith be
and the same are hereby repealed.

A petition was read from Mr. E.F.Broderick,jr.,requesting
information relative to the issuance of parking tickets, the
Clerk was instructed to notify Mr. Broderick that upon the
return of the Mayor to the city the matter would be brought
up at a later meeting.
A petition was read from Tyr. S.N. Harris relative to the
granting.of parking priveleges in the par,.ing space, the
Clerk was instructed to notify I,Ir. Harris that upon the return
of the Mayor the amtter would be broughL up,at a later meeting.
the Chairman of Council was instructed, in • the absence of the
mayor to sign a note for . 3084.39 covering a loan from the
Citizens and Southern National Bank, and endorsed by Mr. Sam
Blumenthal, covering the purchase of materi&ls for the new
parking space between 17th and 18th streets.
it was movend and seconded and Massed that the following res-
olution on the death of Judge George 7.Tiedeman be adopted;
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, by the death of the late Judge George W.Tiedeman,
Chairman of the County Commissioners of Chatham County, the town
of Savannah Beach, has lost a valued friend and a public servant
interested, at all times, in the community welfare.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Councilmen
of the Town of Savannah Beach in meeting assembled, that our
sorrow bt hereby expressed, as well as our sympathy, to this
family.
RESOLVED FURTHER THAT A COPY of this resolution be sprerad
upon the minutes and a copy sent to Judge Tiedeman's family.
