I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, 1
I CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE RESOLUTION OF BENEFITS
(RESOLUTION NO. 00-040) FOR THE CITY CLERK AND CITY
TREASURER,
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 99-1183
which repealed section 2207 (Compensation-City Clerk, City Treasurer) and
directed that the compensation levels for the City Clerk and City Treasurer be
determined by resolution in the same manner provided for all other
employees not covered by various memoranda of understanding as
authorized by Section 2303 of the Carson Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Resolution No. 00-040
establishing the salaries and benefits for the City Clerk and City Treasurer;
and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk and City Treasurer did not receive the cost-
of-living adjustments (COLA's) awarded other employees not covered by
various memoranda of understanding effective July 1, 2000 and July 2001.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON
HEREBY FINDS, DETERMINES AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Article I of the Resolution of Benefits for the City Clerk and City
Treasurer as adopted by Resolution No. 00-040 is hereby amended to read
as follows:
SECTION 1 — SALARY
1.1 The City of Carson agrees to increase the salary of the City Clerk and
City Treasurer by 3% effective July 1, 2000.
1.2 The City of Carson agrees to increase the salary of the City Clerk and
the City Treasurer by 3% effective July 1, 2001.
Section 2. Except as herein amended, the Resolution of Benefits for the
City Clerk and City Treasurer as adopted by resolution No. 00-040 shall f
;;> remain in full force and effect.
