A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON,
CALIFORNIA, CONSENTING TO A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING WITH
THE CARSON REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, WITH RESPECT TO THE
REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR PROJECT AREA NO. 49 AND THE
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT PREPARED IN CONNECTION
THEREWITH
WHEREAS, the Carson Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency"), has initiated
proceedings to adopt Project Area No. 4 (the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, Sections 33348 and 33360 of the Community Redevelopment Law (the
"CRL") requires that the Agency and Carson City Council (the "City Council") hold a joint
public hearing on the proposed Redevelopment Plan for the Project and Section 33355 of the
CRL permits the Agency and City Council, with the consent of both, to hold a joint public
hearing; and
WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 33349 of the CRL, a notice of said public hearing was
published in a newspaper of general circulation and mailed to each property owner, resident,
business, and affected taxing agency.
NOW,THEREFORE,the Carson City Council hereby resolves as follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council hereby consents to a Joint Public Hearing with the
Agency on the proposed Redevelopment Plan for Project Area No. 4 and the Environmental
Impact Report prepared in connection therewith at the following time and place:
Date: June 18, 2002
Time: 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible
Place: Council Chambers
Carson City Hall
701 E. Carson Street
Carson, CA 90745
SECTION 2: The City Council hereby ratifies the notice of such public hearing already
given by first class mail and publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
