RESOLUTION NO. 02-155
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA CALLING A
CLOSED SESSION TO CONFER WITH LEGAL
COUNSEL REGARDING ONE MATTER OF EXISTING LITIGATION,
CITY OF CARSON V. CITY OF LA MIRADA,
The City Council of the City of Carson, California hereby finds and resolves:
Section 1. Pursuant to Government Code § 54956.9 (a) and based on advice
from the City's attorney, the City Council determines that a closed session should be held to
confer with or receive advice from the City's attorney regarding one matter of existing litigation,
discussion of which in open session would prejudice the position of the City. The existing
litigation is City of Carson v. City of La Mirada.
Section 2. A closed session of the City Council of the City of Carson,
California shall be held forthwith, in recess from this regular meeting, pursuant to Government
Code § 54956.9, regarding the matters referred to in Section 1 hereof.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 15th day of October, 2002.
