WHEREAS, on A;ay 15, 1980, Texas Electric Service Company filed its
statement of intent to raise electric rates in the City; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has engaged experts to study these rates; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council after hearings thereon, has determined that
this Ordinance if justified by the evidence; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the Examiner's Report in Docket
3250, Public Utility Commission of Texas, the rural rate case; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there is little relationship between
cost-of-service in rural areas and cost-of-service within this
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNC II~ OF THE CITY OF
Richland Hills TEXAS THAT:
1.
The rates set out in Texas Electric Service Company's
Statement filed on or about May 15, 1980, are hereby
denied and rejected.
2.
The rates to be charged by Texas Electric Service
Company shall be those rates and charges which were
in effect within the City immediately prior to
