UNIFORM BUILDING CODE ORD.`
An ordinance of the City of Richland Hills, Texas reg~,ulat'ng
the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, maiving,
removal, demolition,`conversion, occupancy, equipment, use, height,
area and maintenance of all buildings or structures in the City, of
Richland Hills; providing for the issuance of permits and collectio s
of fees therefore; adopting the Uniform Building Code, 1982 additio ;
repealing all city ordinances in conflict herewith except zonin',g
ordinances and providing for a fine not in excess of $200.00 fo'~,r
violation.

Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Richlan
ills, Texas that:
Section 1. That certain documents, three (3) copies pf
hich are on file in the office of the City Secretary of tree City o
ichland Hills, Texas being marked and designated as "Uniform
uilding Code," including Appendix Chapter 1, 12, 23, 32, 35, 3$,
9, 51, 55, 57, 70, 1982 edition, and the "Uniform Building Cody
tandards," 1982 edition, published by the International Conference
f Building Officials, be and the same is hereby adopted as the cod
f the enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, demolition,
onversion, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area and maintenance
f all buildings or structures in the City of Richland Hills providing
or issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore; and each

Section 2. All other ordinances or parts of ordinances in
onflict herewith are hereby repealed except zoning ordinances ~.nd
mendments thereto. In the event of conflict, the terms of the'zoni g
rdinance or amendments shall govern.
Section 3. That if any section, subsection, ser_tence, cla se
r phrase of this ordinance is, for any reason, held to be uncon-
titutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the';
emaining portions of this ordinance. The city Council hereby c~ecla es
hat it would have passed this ordinance, and. each section, subs
'ection, clause or phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that any
ne or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses and phrases be

portion of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemean;er
and fined not in excess of $200.00. Each days violation shalll,be
a separate offense.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be and is herel~'y
declared to be in full force and effect, ten.. -days from the date', of
final passage, approval and publication.
