A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON,
CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING THE APPOINTMENT OF THE DELEGATE
AND THE ALTERNATE MEMBERS TO THE SOUTH BAY CITIES COUNCIL
OF GOVERNMENTS (SBCCOG) GOVERNING BOARD
WHEREAS, the South Bay Cities Council of Governments (Joint Powers Authority): in
Section 5. Creation of Government Board and General Assembly, creates the Governing Council
(Governing Board)to conduct the affairs of the Council, and
WHEREAS, the City of Carson is a Member of the South Bay Cities Council of
Governments, and
WHEREAS, the Governing Board is comprised by the legislative body of each of the
Members, designating one person as the Member's representative and one person as the
Member's alternate, and
WHEREAS, the South Bay Cities Council of Governments' By-laws stipulates that the
Governing Board Representative and Alternate Governing Board Representative for a Member
shall be designated by a resolution of that Member's legislative body.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON,
CALIFORNIA HEREBY FINDS, RESOLVES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. James L. "Jim" Dear, Mayor of the City of Carson is designated as the
Delegate to the South Bay Cities Council of Governments.
Section 2. Elito M. Santarina, Council Member of the City of Carson is designated as
the Alternate to the South Bay Cities Council of Governments.

number of members of the City Council is four; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 04-093
as duly and regularly adopted by said Council at a regular meeting duly and regularly held on the 6th day
of July, 2004, and that the same was passed and adopted by the following vote:
