RESOLUTION NO. 04-148
A RESOLUTION OF TIC CITY COUNCIL OF TIC
j CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, CALLING A CLOSED SESSION
TO CONFER WITH LEGAL COUNSEL REGARDING
ONE MATTER OF POTENTIAL LITIGATION
THE CARSON CITY COUNCIL HEREBY FINDS AND RESOLVES:
Section I- Pursuant to Government Code section 54956.9(b)(3)(E) and based
on advice from the City Attorney, the City Council determines that a closed session should be
held to confer with or receive advice from the City Council regarding one matter, of potential
litigation involving the City Council, the discussion of which in open session would prejudice the
position of the City,, A point has been reached where, in the opinion of the legislative-"body of the
local agency on the advice of its legal counsel, based on existing facts and circumstances, there is
a potential for litigation against the City by a third party. A copy of the complaint threatening
litigation shall be made available for public inspection pursuant to Government Code Section
54957.5.
Section 2. A closed session of the City Council of the City of Carson,
California shall be held forthwith, in recess from this regular meeting, pursuant to Government
Code section 54956.9, regarding the matters referred to in Section 1 hereof.

number of members of the City Council is four; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 04-148
as duly and regularly adopted by said Council at a regular meeting duly and regularly held on the 19th day
of October, 2004, and that the same was passed and adopted by the following vote:
