REQUEST FROM PARENT REGARDING RESERVED USE OF ATHLETIC FIELDS AT LIVE OAK PARK BY LOCAL SPORTS ORGANIZATIONS (CONTINUED) The Parks and Recreation Commission approved the following change to the Agreement for Use of the Athletic Fields at Live Oak Park as recommended by the City Attorney: 1. OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES. CITY does not discriminate on the basis of race , color, national origin, age or disability in admission to, or treatment in, its programs, activities, or use of facilities. B. REVIEW OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES AVAILABLE TO TEMPLE CITY RESIDENTS (CONTINUED) The Parks and Recreation Commission recommended the City Council include funding in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2012-13 budget for a fixed route shuttle/trolley service. 4. NEW BUSINESS A. REQUEST FROM TEMPLE CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR RESERVED USE OF TEMPLE CITY PARK FOR A HEALTH FAIR AND FUN WALK ON MAY 12,2012 The Commission approved the request. B. REQUEST FROM OAK AVENUE INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL FOR RESERVED USE OF THE LIVE OAK PARK COMMUNITY CENTER FOR THEIR 8TH GRADE PROMOTION DINNER AND DANCE ON JUNE 13, 2012 The Commission approved the request. City Council April3, 2012 Page 3 C . REQUEST FROM TRIUMPHANT CHURCH, HOME OF CHRISTIANS, FOR RESERVED USE OF THE PERFORMING ARTS PAVILION AND A PORTION OF TEMPLE CITY PARK FOR A PRAYER MEETING ON SUNDAY, MAY 27, 2012 FROM 2-6 P.M. The Commission approved the request. D. REQUEST FOR CONSIDERATION OF A FEE WAIVER FOR RESERVED USE OF THE PERFORMING ARTS PAVILION FOR THE 2012 NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER ON MAY 3, 2012 AND FOR PLACEMENT OF A BANNER IN TEMPLE CITY PARK ANNOUNCING THE EVENT The Parks and Recreation Commission approved both requests. 5 . MA TIERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS A. The Commission received and filed the Parks and Recreation Director's Report for March 2012. CONCLUSION: The City Council is requested to review the Parks and Recreation Commission actions of their meeting of March 21 , 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2011-12 City Budget.
