"The appointive office of City Treasurer is hereby established. The duties of the City
Treasurer shall be those imposed by applicable and/or general law, except as those
duties may be modified by ordinance of the City."
By adoption of the proposed resolution, the City Council will approve an appointive
position of City Treasurer pursuant to the City Charter.
CONCLUSION:
The City Council is requested to adopt Resolution No. 12-4808 appointing
Administrative Services Director Tracey Hause as City Treasurer.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2011-12 City Budget.

RESOLUTION NO. 12-4808
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY APPOINTING TRACEY HAUSE AS CITY
TREASURER
WHEREAS, Section 708 of the City Charter of the City of Temple City provides
for the appointive office of City Treasurer; and,
WHEREAS, there has been a vacancy in the office of City Treasurer since 2005;
and
WHEREAS, Ms. Hause, appointed Administrative Services Director on February
21, 2012, has the qualifications, education, and experience to faithfully and accurately
discharge the duties of the office of City Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, the Administrative Services Director position oversees the City's
finance, accounting, personnel, information technology, purchasing, and budget
functions, including duties related to investments and treasury;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. Tracey Hause is hereby appointed City Treasurer effective on April
3,2012;and
SECTION 2. Upon the effective date of this appointment, Tracey Hause is
authorized and empowered to perform any and all duties of City Treasurer as
prescribed by the City Charter, the general law of the State of California, and any other
applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, or policies, and as she may be directed
by the City Council, from time to time .
