A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR
TOWING SERVICES
WHEREAS, in 2008, H.P. Automotive & Tow Service, Inc. was awarded a
contract to provide towing services to the City of Lynwood; and
WHRERES, the amended agreement will expire on January 17, 2017.
WHEREAS, staff is seeking approval to issue a RFP for towing services to
replace the current provider upon expiration of the contract or the discontinuation
of services by the current provider; and
WHEREAS, the RFP will be issued to solicit the services of qualified towing
service provider.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes staff to issue a RFP for towing
services.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption'of this City Council
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of February, 2016.
