The Mayor informed Council that in connection with the town's
application for federal aid for beach protection that it would
necessary to have certain surveys made and maps and other data
prepared for submission to the local office of the U.S. Dis-
tricy Engineer, this would require the employement of several
engineers. It was moved and seconded and passed that the Mayor
be given authority to make the expenditure necessary to have
the work done.
•Petition of H.P.Anderson and J.E.Tant for permission to conduct
a business of sealing beer and other beverages. over 4% at the
Ocean View Hotel Dining Room at a reduced license for the balance
of the fiscal year. It was moved and seconded and passed that
petition be granted and that the license to be charged for con-
ducting the business to the remainder of the fiscal year, April
30th, 1935, shall be 1/3 of the annual fee for boti commodities.

A regular meeting of Corancil was held to-day at 4:00 p.m., and
was attended by M yor Bright, who presided, and Councilmen
Cann, Blumenthal, Sharpley, Righton,Logan and Lovell and Town
Attorney McIntire.
The minutes of the meeting of November 1st, were read and adopted.
A request from the Savannah Beach Civic Club for assistance
in creatinga fund for the care of volunteer fireman when they
get injured fighting fires and to purchase uniforms, ect.,
was read and on motion male and seconded and passed, $ 10.00
was contrt3.buted to the fund.
Councilman Logan informed Council that he had had several
reports that Motorcycle Officer Ede:wards was using the private
automobiles of persons living on the island. The opinion was
that this practice must be stooped.
The aathorities of Fort Screen presented plans and requested
permission to erect an archway over Campbell Street, between
the auto road and the reservation, as the plans called for a
span of only 20feet for vehicular traffic, this was considered
to narrow. The Clerk was instructed to notify the petitioners
that if they would increas the span to 30 feet, which would
afford ample room for fraffic that authority to erect same
would be granted.

The regular meeting of Council was held to -day at 4:00 p.m.
and was attended by Mayor Bright, who presided, and Councilmen
Cann, Blumenthal, Logan, Lovell and Righton.
The minutes of the meetings of November 25th:and December 6th
were read and adopted.
The Mayor was authorized to purchase two,one to one and one -half '
ton trucks, with dual wheels, stake body and cab and also to
turn in as part payment the two old trucks now owned by the Town.
A petition was read from Mr. W.H.Haar, Manager of Tybrisa Pavilion
requesting the town to discontinue charging for theruse of the
parking areas during the winter monthhs. Petition refused.

and was attended by Mayor Bright, who presided, and Councilmen
Sharpley, Blumenthal, Cann, Lovell and Righton, and Town Attorney
Mclntire.
The minutes of the meeting of January 3rd, 1936 were read and
adopted.
A rough draft of the proposed contract between the Tybee Water
Works and the Town for furnishing water in connection with the
Beach Protection Work was referred to a committee consisting of
Councilmen Logan and Sharpley to handle with the Tybee Water- orks.
Bids were received for two new trucks with cab and stake body,
dual wheels on rear, 30 x 5 8 -ply tires all around, wheel base
157 to 162 inches,-from the following:
