RESOLUTION NO. 05-048
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, CALLING A CLOSED SESSION
TO CONFER WITH LEGAL COUNSEL REGARDING ONE MATTER
OF EXISTING LITIGATION ENTITLED:
DEWITT v. SANTARINA & RABER, HELEN KAWAGOE, INTERVENER
THE CARSON CITY COUNCIL HEREBY FINDS AND RESOLVES:
Section 1. Pursuant to Government Code § 54956.9(a) and based on advice
from the City Attorney, the City Council determines that a closed session should be held to confer
with or receive advice from the City Attorney regarding one (1) matter of existing litigation
involving the City, the discussion of which in open session would prejudice the position of the
City. The title of this litigation matter is: Dewitt v. Santarina & Raber; Helen Kawagoe,
Intervener, Case No. BS 082401.
Section 2. A closed session of the City Council of the City of Carson,
California shall be held forthwith, in recess from this regular meeting, pursuant to Government
Code § 54956.9(a), regarding the matter referred to in Section 1 hereof.

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do hereby certify that the whole
number of members of the City Council is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 04-048
as duly and regularly adopted by said Council at a special meeting duly and regularly held on the 22nd day
of April, 2005, and that the same was passed and adopted by the following vote:
