AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3(a) AND 3(c) OF ORDINANCE #87-04
OF THE MOAB CITY ORDINANCES TO INCREASE COMMERCIAL WATER RATES
CHARGED BY MOAB CITY AND TO ALLOW FOR FUTURE AMENDMENT OF SECTION
2, SECTION 3, SECTION 4, AND SECTION 5, OF ORDINANCE #87-04 TO BE
MADE BY RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Moab finds it
necessary to increase commercial water rates; and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate necessary future increases
in water and/or sewer and/or connection fees charged by the City
of Moab, and/or the penalty for neglect, refusal or failure to
pay for water, sewer or connection fees charged by the City of
Moab;
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE MOAB CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS:
That Sections 3(a) and 3(c) of Moab City Ordinance #87-04
are hereby amended to read as follows:
(a) Rate No. 1, Commercial within the City:
Minimum charge, 2,000 gallons or less per month $9.00.
Next 3,000 gallons, $2.00 per thousand gallons.
Next 5,000 gallons, $0.51 per thousand gallons.
Next 40,000 gallons, $0.59 per thousand gallons.
All over 50,000 gallons, $0.70 per thousand gallons.

(c) Rate No. 3, Commercial outside the City:
Minimum charge, 2,000 gallons or less per month $18.00.
Next 3,000 gallons, $4.00 per thousand gallons.
Next 5,000 gallons, $1.02 per thousand gallons.
Next 40,000 gallons, $1.18 per thousand gallons.
All over 50,000 gallons, $1.40 per thousand gallons.
Further, henceforth, Section 2, Section 3, Section 4, and
Section 5 of Moab City Ordinance #87-04 regarding water, sewer
and connection fees and penalty fees charged by the City of Moab
shall be amended through resolution by the Governing Body of Moab
City.
THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT ON JULY 1, 1992.
