RESOIJfrION AM~DING PROFESSIONAL St~VICE RESOLUTION ~98-16
W}~REAS, by Resolution g98-16, the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough")
retained the Engineering services of Killam in connection with various
engineering services; and
W~EREAS, the amount and scope of said services exceed the originally
anticipated amount; and
NOW, T~, BE ITRESOLVEDby the Mayor and Borough Council that the
amount of funds to expended in connection with the defense of the referenced
matter is increased by $12,000.00 with cunulative total of funds expended
pursuant to Resolution ~98-16 and this resolution not to exceed $12,000.00.
BE ITFUI~P,E~LVED that this amendment is made without competitive bids
in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11:5 (1) (a) due to the specialized and
professional nature of the service.
BE IT FOi~RE~LVED that notice of this action shall be published in The
Home News Tribune on April 7, 1998.
Adopted this 2nd day of April, 1998
and certified as a true copy of the
