ORDINANCE 501
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS
CLOSING AND VACATING A CERTAIN UNIMPROVED AL-
LEY LYING WEST OF THE WEST BOUNDARY LINE OF
LOT ONE BLOCK EIGHTY, RICHLAND HILLS ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS; PROVID-
~NG AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND ORDAINING OTHER
MATTERS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT.
WHEREAS, there has heretofore been platted and dedicated
to the City of Richland Hills a certain alley, said alley being
twenty (20) feet in width and extending from the South Boundary
Line of Bridges Street Southward one hundred and twenty feet
(120') along the West Boundary Line of Lot one (1), Block eighty
(80) to its intersection with an existing 30' alley of the
Richland Hills Addition of Richland Hills, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid alley has not been used or trav-
eled by the Public and remains unimproved, and such alley is in
excess of the City's needs and is burdensome to maintain; and
WHEREAS, the City has no plans to use said alley and
finds that said alley should be vacated and abandoned.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS:
I.
The public's easement in and to a certain alley twenty
feet (20') in width extending from the south boundary of Bridges
Street southward one hundred twenty feet (120') along the west
boundary line of Lot one (1), Block eighty (80), Richland Hills
Addition to the City of Richland Hills, Texas, be and it is
hereby abandoned.
II.
This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its
passage.
