A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON,
CALIFORNIA, CALLING FOR AN EXECUTIVE SESSION TO CONFER WITH

LEGAL COUNSEL REGARDING ONE MATTER OF EXISTING LITIGATION: LA
MIRADA v. CITY OF CARSON, CASE NO. BC-248284
THE CARSON CITY COUNCIL HEREBY FINDS AND RESOLVES:
Section 1. Pursuant to Government Code § 54956.9(a) and based on advice from the
City Attorney, the City Council deems that an executive session should be held to confer with or
receive advice from the City Attorney regarding one matter of existing litigation involving the
city,the discussion of which in open session would prejudice the position of the city. The title of
the existing litigation is: La Mirada v. City of Carson, Case No. BC-248284. I

Section 2. An executive session of the City Council of the city of Carson, California
shall be held forthwith, in recess from their regular meeting, pursuant to Government Code §
54956.9(a),regarding the matters referred to in Section 1 hereof.

number of members of the City Council is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 06-104
was duly and regularly adopted by said Council at a regular meeting duly and regularly held on the 5th day
of September, 2006, and that the same was passed and adopted by the following vote:
