RESOLUTION AWARDING A ODNTRACf
FOR WASTE MONITORING S~VICES
WHEREAS, there exists a need for waste monitoring services in connection
with the ten(10) significant and industrial users within the Borough of
Carteret (the "Borough"); and
W~, Garden State Labs has provided satisfactory services in the past;
and
W~, Garden State Labs has offered the lowest price to perform said
waste monitoring services; and
WHEREAS, this contract is being awarded without con~petitive bidding in
that Garden State Labs Services bid is below the bid threshold as set
forth in N.J.S.A.40A:ll-5(a)(ii); and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Chief Financial Officer has certified that this meets
the Statute and Regulations governing the Award of said Contracts and that
funds are available for the payment of such contract;
NOW, TH~IEFORE, BE IT~V~Dby the Borough Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
a contract for waste monitoring services with Garden State Labs
in an amount not to exceed $9,500.00 at rates as per this attached
schedule.
2. That this contract is awarded without competitive bidding in that thel
the cost of said services are below the bid threshold pursuant to
N.3.S.A. 40A:11-5 (a)(ii).
3. Notification of the contract Award shall be printed in the News
Tribune on April 3, 1998.
Adopted this 2nd day of April, 1998
and certified as a true copy of the
original on April 3, 1998.

CONTRACT AWARD FOR WASTE MONITORING SERVICE. NOT TO ESCEED $9,500.00.
According to the terms set forth in Resolution.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set
forth in Resolution.
