This item was approved by a 4-1 vote with Commissioner Cordes voting against
the request.
4 . NEW BUSINESS
A The Planning Commission made a motion to approve a Zone Variance to allow a
202 square foot add ition to an existing dental office with a deficiency of three
(3) parking spaces . The subject property is located at 5813 Temple City
Boulevard and is located in the Temple City Commercial (TC) District of the
City's Downtown Specific Plan.
The Planning Commission approved this item on a 5-0 vote.
B. The Planning Comm ission approved a Zone Variance to allow the
establishment of a medical office without providing additional parking. The
Zone Variance request is triggered by the onsite parking requirement for the
proposed medical office . The subject property is located at 9868 Las Tunas
Drive and is located in the East Commercial (EC) District of the City's
Downtown Specific Plan.
The Planning Commission approved th is item on a 4-0 vote with Chairman
O'Leary abstaining due to residing within 500 feet of the subject site.
5. COMMUNICATIONS
Planning Commissioners and staff provided a summary of the sessions they
attended during the National American Plann ing Association Conference that was
held Apri l14-17 atthe Los Angeles Convention Center.
6 . MATTERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS
The Planning Commission nominated Commissioner Cordes and Commissioner
Horton to serve as liaisons to the outreach committee for the Metro SR-71 0
Study.
7. ADJOURNMENT
The Planning Commission meeting was adjourned at 9 :05 p .m.
