If approved by the City Council , City staff will deliver the temporary traffic signs on Thursday, June 14 and will retrieve them on Friday, June 15. CONCLUSION: The City Council is requested to review and approve the street closure request for the Oak Avenue Intermediate School Promotion Ceremony . FISCAL IMPACT: This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2011-12 City Budget. ATTACHMENTS: A. Letter from Oak Avenue Intermediate School B. We did do this last year for our Promotion. To assure the community is aware, we will do the following: 1. Residents in the area of closure will be notified in writing by Oak A venue. 2. A reminder notice will be provided by the school to the residents two or three days before June 14th , 2012. 3. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputies will be hired to secure the perimeters and assure the safety of the participants and residents 4. Street access will remain open for both Emperor A venue and Camino Real 5. Parents may go north on Oak from Emperor to park at Temple City High School for the ceremony.
