PROFESSIONAL 8~ltVICES GONTRACr FOR GONSOLTING AND INSORANCE
W}IEREAS, there exists a need for review of various workers compensation
claims management and insurance proposals; and
W'~, pursoant to NLJ.S. 40A:11-5 (1) (a) Professional Services are
exempt from the requirements of competitive bidding; and
W~AS, the local Finance Officer has certified that funds are available:
NOW, TH~, BE IT AND IT IS H~,E~YRESOLV~that the Mayor and Council
of the Borough of Carteret does hereby approve the appointment of Madeline
LoRe GLM Insurance at a maximum cost not to exceed $750.00 billable per
hourly rate of $100.00;
BE IT FUR~H~RESOLV~D that the Mayor and Borough Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute said contract;
IT IS FURTH~RRESOLVED that the contract is awarded without competitive bids
in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5 (1) (a) due to the specialized and
professional nature of the services provided;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of this action shall be published in the
Home News Tribune on April 7, 1998.
